May was a huge month for SWG Beyond, bringing one of our biggest celebrations of the year, a brand-new Recruit-a-Friend system, and important gameplay improvements to keep the galaxy fair and fun for everyone.
Seventh Anniversary Celebration
SWG Beyond officially turned seven years old this month!Players can now head behind the Mos Eisley Starport to join the festivities, complete special anniversary quests, earn exclusive rewards, unlock commemorative badges and titles, and pick up this year's anniversary gift.
Be sure to stop by the anniversary vendor to check out a large collection of brand-new items created specifically for this year's event by Adalaide and Voodoo. While you're there, grab an Utinni Martini, enjoy the festivities, and don't forget to claim your 2026 Seventh Anniversary Badge, Title, and Gift.
And yes... the giant sooga is back.
Recruit-a-Friend System Launches
One of the biggest new features this month is the launch of our brand-new Recruit-a-Friend (RAF) System.Using /recruitFriend, players can recruit friends into SWG Beyond and earn rewards as their recruits complete various in-game objectives. Progress is account-wide, making it easier than ever to help new players experience everything the galaxy has to offer.
Recruited Player Rewards
Upon completion, recruits receive:- 100,000 Credits
- 100% XP Gain Chip
Recruiter Rewards
Recruiters earn:- RAF Reward Tokens
- Progression through exclusive RAF Reward Tiers
- Unique milestone badges
- Access to a dedicated RAF Vendor
Monthly RAF Leaderboard
Competition never sleeps.At the end of every month, the player with the highest number of completed recruits will receive a Legendary Loot Chest. The leaderboard resets monthly, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to claim the top spot.
Gameplay Updates & Fixes
This month's update also addressed an issue involving the Holocron of Retention.To resolve an exploit that could grant players more expertise points than intended, both client-side and server-side validation checks were implemented. As part of this fix, all stored expertise within Holocrons of Retention was reset. While we know this may have been inconvenient for affected players, these changes help ensure a fair and balanced experience for everyone moving forward.
Help Wanted: QA Testers
The development team is actively looking for additional QA testers to help identify bugs, test new systems, and improve future updates before they reach the live server. If you've ever wanted to help shape the future of Beyond, now is a great time to get involved.
