Hello everyone,

We are looking for community feedback on a proposed change to the loot drop of the new Jewelry set earrings.


Current System.
Under the system that is currently in place the final boss in each of the heroic and legendary instances has a chance to drop an earring. The earring drop can be for any profession and any set.

Proposed Changes.
This proposal comes from listening to the current issues facing the earring procurement process. Under the proposed system for the new earrings the final boss of each instance would now have a chance to drop a Heroic Earring Box. These boxes would then be able to be opened by any profession with the exception of trader's and entertainer's. The new boxes would contain one piece of heroism guaranteed, They would also contain a random Heroic earring from the three sets available based on the profession that opened the box. For example if a medic opened the box they would receive a heroism earring and either a Striker, First Responder's, or Blackbar's Doom earring.

Summary of changes
  • The final boss would now have a chance to drop a Heroic Earring Box instead of an actual Heroic Earring.
  • The Heroic Earring box would increase the chance of getting the earring you are looking for.
  • It would give a guaranteed heroism Earring.
  • The drop rate would not be increased with this change.
  • The Heroic Earring Box would not be able to be opened by a trader or entertainer.

Add these new boxes into the heroic loot boxes from heroic moments/Heroic daily reward. Currently, the majority of the the items we get from those boxes get deleted (how many roots/crystals/deco do we need). It would be nice to have something come from these reward boxes that is something we find rewarding vs just something else to delete.

If you want to add that.If they can add this to the daily vender might be the other option. Than add a additional daily to get earring’s to drop. Like OG run and legendary 5 turn in daily. But having a chance once every 25 days is good Toto slowly add additional ones . Don’t need to over drop them them them out of boxes.The point is to play over and over to you get earrings. Not be handed the items. You can also add to the vender in the village like 25 of each tokens of OG to get a box as well.

can also do they with legendary ones as well

Why not add a Heroic Earring token that the player can trade in for an earring of their choice? Make the token replace the earring drops. This way if you loot the token, you can just go get whichever earring you would like. The box is a great idea, but when you get the earring you don't want multiple times over it will be just as frustrating.

1. I would like to see the last boss of legendary guarantee and earring drop. They are hard and challenging and not ran often due to group comps needed. It will still be a random drop not class specific so it will not be right away.
2. make a way so you can get a earring box through pvp similar to synapse prices if 10k comms for 1 box it will promote players that want to pvp to have a chance to progress the way the deem fit.

I like the idea of specific boxes dropping through heroic moments would also like to see a chance to drop them in hard mode treasure maps, but on a really rare bases possibly half the odds of heroics but still a chance.

Something needs to change cause its quite depressing doing 2 sets OG's to see 1 earring drop. it should be a chance from all bosses in Heroics/Legendary while end boss in each instance has a100% drop rate but every other boss in CoM/Avatar/ISD/EK/AM should be current drop rate on every boss.

This is not legends where You have dozens of groups running daily.

if it gets added for tokens it needs to be 10 of every OG token+10 hoth token and if added for legendary tokens needs to be 5 CoM 5 Avatar 5 Spider in total per earring to make it as a hard sink.

Should also be added to legendary moment chest/hardmode/heroic moments.

Hell even add it to harder musty instances at lower drop rate at the end.

atm it's just to grindy its based on having RNG and preying that your earring drops+having to win it. thats rough as hell i seen 4 drop so far and 2 earrings were deadeye...a set that is almost never used as it brings 0 utility to a group.

It doesn't need a 100% drop rate on any instance. There are plenty of groups doing OGs daily. It has no business on something as easy as Mustafar.

Or some variation

One it will normalize the price.

Full 7pc sets would be worth 40 to 45 mil

And it would get rid of the elitist attitude.

(I work 3rd shift, Full-time and have wife +4 kids. I can only play every now and then)
I say this because most of us are in the same boat

staff went with the rng route so keep it as it is, bad decision but let them live with that decision

They can't be too easy to get. The ear rings were designed to create content to do (fire OGs back up). And it worked. However, the drop rate is far too low.
