This Friday Feature we will be covering The Assault on Avatar. The first New Instance to Star Wars Galaxies (NGE) since SWG was live! With the release of The Assault on Avatar, the first component of Beyond’s take on the RLS (Rare Loot System) from live has been implemented. All those who dare to take on this challenge will have an opportunity to experience a "Legendary moment"! Yet this adventure is not for the weak. It is strongly suggested you are fully equipped with a suit of 35's and a jewelry set from the regular heroics we have grown to know so well.
To begin your adventure on The Assault on Avatar you must head to Killian. He is located in the Village of Aurilia at waypoint 5426 -4139. No pre requisites are required to enter Avatar. Killian will transport a minimum of a four player group to the Avatar, yet it is strongly suggested you enter with a group of eight players. Be sure to maintain a minimum of four players in the instance throughout this challenge should you need to exit and rebuff for that victory!
While on Avatar you will face a variety of foes. This new instance includes 6 bosses, each with a variety of brand new and reworked mechanics to test even the most seasoned player. While we won't share ALL the details to ensure your success, we will share a few hints
The first foe you will encounter is BG-577
Be watchful of his shields, and the affect they have on your team members when they are up. He also has a few other tricks your group will have to be mindful of, he is full of surprises.
Huntmaster Khrassk
Defeating Khrassk will require the full attention of the medics. He will mark you for death should a medic not clear the debuff he throws at your group
Warden Tressc
Wait, what?! Where did your weapon go?! Warden Tressc is a tricky fella. He will randomly unequip your weapons. Don't worry they are stashed in your inventory.
Doctor Grissek
This medic like mini boss has a few abilities up his sleeve. His beasts are there to assist him in your demise.
Captain Hadosskn
While fighting Captain Hadosskn you will have to manage the main power reactors. These will decrease his shields, offering you a chance of triumph against him.
Lord Cyssc
This boss has mastered quite a few Jedi abilities. That is the least of your worries, but be sure to watch your toes! He has a few surprises for you. Upon defeating Lord Cyssc each player will receive slight boost to their dodge stat. This stat increase is similar to the Heroics from the past, maxing out after 10 successful victories.
When the final boss is completed the whole group has a chance to be rewarded with a "Legendary Moment". This Legendary Moment is determined by RNG. When a Legendary Moment occurs beam of light will come down and each player in the group will be awarded with a Mysterious Aurilian Crate. Within the crate you have a chance to find a variety of loot.
Some information regarding the RLS loot boxes:
•The “Legendary Moment” is determined by RNG.
• You will be notified that an RLS loot box has been placed in your inventory when you see a bright beam of light.
• All members of the group will receive an RLS box
• There are three types of boxes, Legendary, Exceptional, and Rare.
• The color on the front of the box (Gold Legendary, Green Exceptional, Silver Rare) and the name indicates the type of box you have
obtained.
• Each box type has its own distinctive loot table
• All loot tables entail; Weapons, crystals, wearables, decoration, buffs, housing, and vehicles.
• The items that are on each loot table consist of items from SWG’s live RLS, TCG, and new items.
• All items are trade-able.
Some of the lootable items available outside of the Legendary Moment currently consist of:
• The fan favorite Kashyyyk weapon skins in 2% variants to allow them to be end game viable
• Trandoshan Hunter’s Outfit, previously only available to Trandoshans, now open to all traditional humanoids.
• Relics of Kashyyyk’s Clone Wars history may be recovered. Including, the reintroduction of the Cunning of Tyrannus (6% heat)
lightsaber crystal and Swamp Speeder vehicle, originally from the trading card game.
• Players who enjoy collections will have the opportunity to become the Bane of the Blackscales, earning themselves an Elite
Trandoshan Hunter Rifle schematic, in addition to some extra badges.
• new decoration items themed off the Clone Wars era, Trandoshan culture and the Avatar Platform itself.
• Swamp Speeder vehicle
• A number of other items are also available, but we won't spoil the surprise for you!
Items available for purchase with the Legendary Avatar tokens can be purchased from Jamilla Tabadi located in the village of Aurilia located at waypoint 5354 -4149. These items vary in token prices, with many more items to be available in the future.
The newest items available for purchase from Jamilla are Legendary Rebreathers!! Here’s what you need to know before purchasing;
• These wearable items occupy a new slot that is unique to the SWG Beyond server.
• There are 3 different categories available - Ranged Action Cost, Melee Action Cost or Lightsaber Action Cost
• 4 Different variations of additional stats available for each category.
• Works in DWB and Avatar to protect you against poisonous gasses.
• These items may also be equipped while wearing a helmet
In addition to the Legendary rebreathers Jamilla offers other items such as:
•A decorative item, an Avatar wall lamp
•A decorative item an Avatar table lamp
•M'a Jong's Galactic Tiles Arcade Cabinet.
•Sith speeder
