For this Friday Feature we are adjusting our targeting computers to none other than Space Battles.
Space Battles were released a few months prior to SOE shutting down the servers for good, and were a huge part of the GCW update.
They are a great way to get your weekly GCW and also earn tokens that can used to purchase some amazing ships and other items. So buckle up as we give you the run down on Space Battles.
In these battles you will face tier 7 enemy ships so if your ship piloting skill are not up to that level yet, find a ACE with a POB that you can jump into the action with.
To get started, you will launch into space. Then, you’ll need to check the status of the battles using the macro below. Next, you’ll need to set your combat status to Special forces using the space command found in your commands menu (you have to remain motionless until updates).
At the start of the battle, a capital ship spawns at the given waypoint. Soon after, the opposing faction spawns and starts attacking the other ship along with factional tier 7 ships. Keeping in mind that each battle has a 65 minute time limit, so you do not have to be there from start to finish. Meaning, you only need to destroy one of the opposing tier 7 ships or get a hit on the enemy Capitol ship.
Once the battle has concluded (if you are flying solo) the victor of the battle will earn 20,000 GCW and 100 tokens while the losing side will earn half of that (10,000 GCW and 50 tokens). Flying in a POB will result in the pay out being split between everyone on board the ship.
So grind up your pilot skills and jump into space, hopefully while sharing some coin with your Beyond shipwrights along the way!
