On Friday April 12, 2019, SWG Beyond opened its doors to the community with the vision of maintaining the beloved sandbox charm of SWG, while adding new unique content to push it Beyond where the original game content left off.
On Sunday April 12, 2020 we enabled our 1st year anniversary event, to jubilate our amazing first year. Here are all the details that you need to know about this event!
Logging into game
With the celebration everyone now has the ability to create a 6th character and if your account is more than 10 days old, (when you log into the game) you will have two pop up windows that will appear.
The first pop up will say that you have a “Heroic Jewelry Crate” and “Heroic Scroll Bundle” to claim.To claim these just double click on their names and an item will be placed in your inventory, keeping in mind that the crate is no trade shared and the bundle is no trade.
The second pop up window says that an item has been placed in your inventory, named “Quest Reset Device - Avenging Mort.”
When you open your inventory you should see that you have 3 new items that have been placed inside.
Quest Reset Device - “Avenging Mort”
This item is to reset the questline called “Avenging Mort”. We have added 15 Constitution, 15 Agility, and 15 Luck to the final quest reward that you receive on this quest, Katarn Armor. Resetting this quest allows for community members that have already completed this questline to now take advantage of the new stats that have been added to the armor.
Heroic Jewelry Crate
When you open the heroic jewelry crate you have the option of choosing one, 5 piece heroic jewelry set of your choice. This set will be no trade shared and will only be able to be claimed once per account.
Heroic Scroll Bundle
Heroic unlock scrolls are used to by-pass the need to complete the heroic prequests required to participate in heroic instances. In the heroic scroll bundle, you will receive a scroll to unlock all 5 of the heroic instances.
The Event
The first thing you will notice when you walk out of the Mos Eisley starport is the amazing new music called “Jawa Jive”. It's so catchy even the NPC’s have all started dancing! As you walk towards the Mos Eisley cantina you see Max Rebo and his band playing on stage and lots of little Jawa’s celebrating the anniversary. You can look up in the sky to see an amazing show every 30 mins which includes unique Beyond themed fireworks.
Next you’ll want to head over to the Sandcrawler by the cantina and speak with Nebit The Jawa Chief. When you speak to him he will activate a twice daily quest to collect tokens. Once you speak to him you will be turned into a Jawa!
Now you need to go around to all the Jawa’s that are celebrating and have the blue “i” over their head and say “Happy Birthday Beyond”!
By doing this you will receive a token and you can collect 30 tokens every 12 hours.
Next to Nebit you’ll see Blebba. This is the Jawa that you need to speak to to spend all those hard earn tokens that you’ve just earned!
Blebba has lots of items to offer including some that have been created exclusively for this event!
Now you’re probably wondering what the deal is with the big “sooga” egg… Well this is where you can pick up a badge and a gift for attending the event. You’ll need to radial the egg and choose to claim your badge.
Now you’re ready to speak to Plukee. He will give you a delivery quest with a little twist.
Plukee needs you to make some deliveries but in true Jawa fashion, the directions aren't necessarily the easiest to follow.
As this is a tough quest for some, the reward is quite good! On completion you receive a badge, a title, and a Jawa familiar.
