Hello again, fellow Beyond community members! We are pleased to announce that the website, along with the forums, are ready for your enjoyment and utility. It is at this time that you can already register to play SWG Beyond. Our first goal of having 100 unique users join the discord server was well exceeded within the first day, which only further encourages our work. The next goal is to likewise have 100 people register for this project. We encourage you to do so, as well as spread the word to your friends that you would like to take part in this online adventure. Once this final milestone is achieved, the launcher will be made available for all those who have registered, and the game - as well as its many original updates - will be accessible for download. Very soon after that, the server itself will be live, and the fun will begin. We have begun internal testing to be certain of a smooth and reliable experience for our community.
In the future, once the server has been established and is functioning to expectations, we plan to enable the option of donations. It will in no way be a mandatory facet of the server, but those who do wish to contribute can do so, as they please. Additionally, if people wish to contribute to the project itself through other means, there will be some staff positions available as Beyond inevitably grows. Positions such as user support (CSR), QA for update testing prior to them being pushed live, as well as anyone interested in developing new content.
The website will initially be functional and simple to get people playing as soon as possible. Updates will roll out frequently, as the entire representation of SWG Beyond is fleshed out. It is also our plan to cater to the community's desires. One example of such is polling people to best determine what would be the ideal XP bonus, upon launch.
