Buffs, UI fixes, Empire Day, double tokens, and one permanently retired PvP career.
Another month has come and gone on Beyond, and somehow we managed to ship updates, answer community requests, kick off Empire Day, improve some quality-of-life features, and generate enough drama to power Mos Eisley for several rotations.
Here’s what you may have missed.
Entertainers Got an AFK Upgrade
Entertainers can now set a Default Inspiration Buff for players while AFK.
You can:
Build and save a buff up to 20 points
Set an optional credit cost
Go AFK and let the system do its thing
Once a player reaches the maximum Inspiration duration, they'll be prompted to accept or decline your saved buff. When you return from AFK, the system hibernates until /afk is enabled again.
Basically, entertainers now have automation.
Community Request: Better UI Cloning
You asked. We coded.
UI cloning now gives you three options:
Clone All — Clones everything and replaces your toolbar icons.
Clone UI – Keep Existing Toolbar Icons — Clones the layout but leaves your toolbar alone.
Clone UI – No Toolbar Icons — Clones the layout without toolbar icons.
No more cloning someone's beautiful UI and then spending the next 45 minutes wondering where all your abilities went.
UI Quick Tip
If part of your UI disappears or somehow escapes beyond the borders of your monitor:
Open UI Scaling, move the slider slightly forward, then move it back. This forces the UI elements back onto the screen.
Have you tried turning the UI scaling off and on again?
Disabled Items Are Actually Obvious Now
Disabled toolbar items, including vehicles, will now display an X over their icon.
So when your vehicle won't spawn, you'll immediately know:
It's disabled.
Not lag.
Not a bug.
Not the server personally targeting you.
Repair your shit.
The King of PvP Is Dead
This month we also permanently banned Xaos from Beyond following repeated harassment and disruptive behavior after his return from a six-year ban.
His return was a second chance with very clear expectations attached. Unfortunately, after multiple reports, documented incidents, harassment of community members, disruption of staff events, and subsequent threats toward current and former staff, that second chance came to an end.
The decision is permanent and final. We won't speculate about the person behind the screen. The decision was based on behavior and its impact on the community.
But every era deserves a proper send-off. So naturally...
DOUBLE TOKENS
For the duration of the event:
Double GCW Tokens
Double Battlefield Tokens
Double Flashpoint Tokens
Double Space Tokens
Double Heroic Tokens
Double Hardmode Tokens
Double Legendary Tokens
Yes.
All of them.
But we weren't finished.
Everyone will also receive a King of PvP Target Dummy.
Place him in your house.
Test your abilities.
Practice your rotation.
Calculate your DPS.
Beat the absolute shit out of him.
For science.
A Shrine to Xaos is also being added in-game so players can respectfully pay tribute to our fallen King.
And those brave enough to approach the shrine and honor his memory by calling him a "Beta Cuck" will receive an exclusive player title.
The King is dead.
Long live the double tokens.
Empire Day / Remembrance Day XXVI
Empire Day / Remembrance Day 2026 is here!
Head to:
Coronet, Corellia
Theed, Naboo
Support your faction, complete the event content, and visit the event vendors for unique rewards. Previous Empire Day / Remembrance Day badges are also available for purchase.
And remember:
Completing quests or running the Special Forces daily missions doubles the tokens you receive.
Because apparently this month we've decided the solution to everything is:
We're okay with this.
Want to Help Build Beyond?
We're still recruiting for:
Community Relations (CR)
If you enjoy bringing people together, hosting events, hanging out with the community, and generally causing the good kind of chaos, CR might be for you.
We're looking for people who can:
• Host at least two community activities per week
• Hang out and engage with players in Discord voice
• Organize content across different areas of the game
• Help make Beyond welcoming and fun for new and existing players
You don't need to know every obscure SWG mechanic ever created.
Just be approachable, enthusiastic, and willing to get involved.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Prefer breaking things?
Excellent.
QA helps test upcoming features, systems, fixes, and events before we unleash them on production.
You'll help:
• Test new content
• Find and document bugs
• Verify fixes
• Provide detailed feedback
• Work with the development team to make sure releases are actually ready
No development experience required.
Just attention to detail and a willingness to repeatedly click things until something catches fire.
Interested in CR or QA? Reach out to @Daryn to apply.
Help Keep Beyond Running
Servers unfortunately do not accept GCW Tokens, Imperial Credits, Rebel propaganda, or promises that you'll donate next paycheck.
Beyond is community-supported, and donations help cover the infrastructure and services that keep everything running. If you enjoy playing and want to help keep the galaxy online, please consider supporting the server: https://swgbeyond.com/donate/
Every contribution helps.
Thanks to everyone who continues to play, test, report bugs, host events, help new players, and generally make Beyond the weird little corner of the galaxy that it is.
See you next month. Assuming production survives.
