Greetings, citizens of the galaxy!
June has been an exciting month for SWG Beyond, bringing new content, major reveals, and enough development work to keep even a Jawa busy for several lifetimes. While many of our developers have disappeared into the wilds of Taanab, presumably surviving on caffeine, ration packs, and sheer determination, we are excited to share what has been happening across the galaxy.
Unlike traditional battlefields, Hoth - Frozen Lair focuses entirely on teamwork, strategy, and objective play. Players must capture the Hoth Ball, coordinate passes, intercept enemy plays, and score goals while avoiding being frozen solid.
Thanks to the Red vs. Blue system, players can now queue with friends regardless of faction. After all, nothing brings Rebels and Imperials together quite like blaming someone else for a missed pass.
The community has already embraced the battlefield, and we look forward to seeing new strategies—and spectacular failures—continue to emerge.
Taanab is shaping up to be one of the largest expansions ever created for SWG Beyond, featuring:
Much more remains to be revealed.
Soon, dedicated Jedi who have proven themselves through badges, collections, and perseverance will be able to seek wisdom from a newly discovered Jedi Shrine.
Each Jedi will walk a unique path, guided by hidden objectives and ancient knowledge preserved within newly introduced Holocrons of Forgotten Knowledge.
Those who fully awaken their connection to the Old Ways will unlock access to a previously unexplored region of Taanab, where the ruins of an ancient Jedi Temple await.
Within these forgotten halls, players will uncover lost history, complete new quests, encounter familiar faces from the past—including the mysterious Old Man—and begin training in traditions long thought forgotten.
The Force has been waiting.
The question remains:
Will it remember you?
We've shared many teasers this month, but there is still far more waiting in the shadows. Trust us when we say that some very exciting things are on the horizon.
If you've been enjoying your adventures across the galaxy, please consider supporting the project. Every donation helps keep the hyperdrive running.
