Guild War Re-Vamp + Overhaul Is Needed

Now that after 6 years I am back on SWG Beyond.

I introduce my idea to greatly increase PvP here.

Guild War Full Re-Vamp + Overhaul Fixes:

Introduction:

Guild warring is 1 of the most iconic PvP staples in Star Wars Galaxies. Guild wars in SWG have helped define some of the best moments in SWG PvP.
Many wars have been fought through pure hate and toxicity. I have been a part of many of those wars. Many guild wars have been fought respectfully and friendly through events. Either way. A full re-vamp is needed: To increase guild warring, provide incentives / rewards / badges, halt the abuse and exploiting of out-dated guild warring exploits (such as light-switching guild wars). Provide more in-depth / detailed statistics on guild war history + what guild ended the war / what character ended the war / what character / guild declared war / and who won the war and a date and time)

Like it or not, Guild warring is Premiere Star Wars Galaxies, it was something that SWG did right for a long time. I am from Eclipse / Bria / Starsider / Ahazi / Corbantis. During Star Wars Galaxies Live, I took part in some of the most vicious, unrelenting, hateful guild wars there were. While many do not like toxicity, it was these unrelenting guild wars that created the top tier PvPers in the game and drew many to SWG.

1) Light-switching Guild Wars :

*Lightswitching has been a common exploit and technique that has essentially dismantled guild warring in general. Guild leaders / (or those with permissions) can effectively 'lightswitch' aka turn a guild war on and off at a moments notice. It is an extremely dishonorable technique.
Lightswitching should be effectively negated via ' cooldown timer'. Once a war is started it cannot be ended until 24 hours - 7 days later. (minimum).
- If a guild war is ended, the war is effectively over for a 24 hour period, until it can be re-accepted.
[this prevents players from flicking the war on and off to 'gank players' to their advantage]

2) Provide Incentives / Rewards / Badges / Loot from Guild Wars:

*What is better than fighting a war and getting the plunder from it?
Guild warring should be beneficial to the community at the end of the day. Admins should be providing unique rewards that attract players to take part in guild wars, whether those wars are community events or just plain settling beef. All should be rewarded. And yes the winners take the prize.
*Provide unique loot / or a token system from guild wars, with unique vendors that offer rewards (weapons, armor clothing, furniture, banners, TCG Loot?)
*Provide Badges and titles for winning guild wars. Titles could even go as far as to say "[guild] vs [guild] [Year]"
[badge could include "amount of guild wars won"

3) Exempting rules :

*Exempting in guild wars is fine, but should also not be exploited. If someone is EXEMPT in a war... they should not be able to OUTSIDE heal their guild member during a guild war TEF, nor should anyone outside of each guild be able to outside heal when they are teffed in a guild war. Preventing interference from occurring.
*Should not be able to "lightswitch exempting", if someone exempts from a guild war, they are out of the war for a 24 hour period minimum, until they can re-enter the war

4) A Guild War Terms function could be created:

- Allow guild leaders to set terms, (first to 100 kills) or time limit. 30 Days War. 365 days war, etc.
-Allow certain zones that are permitted for war. Aka Mos Eisly cantina off limits, or only kills count in Restuss / Main cities. Etc.

5) In Depth Guild War Data / History :

-If a war is ended, the correct history and data should be applied, showing what guild Ended the war, and to go further, what character name ended the war
(too many times in guild wars, the data does not show who ended the war, and some guilds claim the other guild ended the war, thus causing unnecessary drama due to lack of information)
- Data should show who ended the war and what time.

Guild wars is a fundamental part of Star Wars Galaxies, providing a fix to many of the out-dated problems would increase population here and draw new players here, as well as turn on many players who have not yet explored the entertainment guild wars offer. There is no doubt that adding these simple functions would boost interest in guild warring and breathe life into SWG Beyond PvP.
