Now on the subject of Droids as player characters,
keep in mind I am not considering Gunk, Astromech, or Protocol droids.
As these models are typically bound into servitude with restrainer bolts,
and we need not to consider droids like the liberated KX security droid,
T series Tactical droids, and naturally IG-88.
While autonomous said droid models are too well established to slide under the oppressive radar,
so player droids will be of the self made L3-37 type.
"Sure, some guy in a factory probably pieced me together originally,
and someone else programmed me, so to speak.
But then the galaxy itself forged me into who I am.
Because we learn, Lando. We're programmed to learn.
Which means we grow. We grow away from that singular moment of creation,
become something new with each changing moment of our lives—yes, lives—and look at me: these parts. I did this.
So maybe when we say the Maker we're referring to the whole galaxy, or maybe we just mean ourselves.
Maybe we're our own makers, no matter who put the parts together."―L3-37, to Lando Calrissian
Player droids can become anything but Jedi as they aren't living beings,
and obviously don't have Midi-chlorians bound to their chassis.
But all other combat, trader, pilot, and politician professions are available,
which brings us back to finer details like appearance and equipment.
I recall a quest mob on Naboo where the droids where a mix of Ris Armor and cybernetic limbs,
I feel that is the best base to build droid bodies from but expanding to include other carapace armor types.
As for a droids species bonus I feel they should have Str = 0, Con = 20, Stam = 60, Prec = 50, Agi = 30, Luc =40,
profession stats, and with their armor being based on the cybernetic limbs employed.
